Fake antimalarials: meeting in Geneva, Switzerland on 28 May

The ACT Consortium will host a drug quality meeting entitled "Fake antimalarials: start with the facts" on 28th May 2015 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Invited participants include representatives from academia, industry, regulatory authorities, policy and advocacy. The programme will cover:
- the history of fake antimalarial drugs: why are we concerned?;
- the importance of robust, varied sampling methods;
- laboratory and field methods;
- latest research findings, including full results from the ACT Consortium Drug Quality project, which analysed over 10,000 ACT samples from six countries;
- policy implications;
- regulatory perspectives.
The meeting will take place in the Hotel Metropole, Geneva, Switzerland.
