An opportunity has arisen for a Research Assistant in Social Science to work for the ACT Consortium within the Department of Infectious and Tropical Diseases. The post holder will work as a member of an existing core team that supports the scientific work of ACT Consortium projects. The post holder will work with the core social scientist to assist in the development and running of the social science components of the ACT Consortium.
The post is suitable for candidates with a Postgraduate degree in anthropology, sociology or a related discipline, preferably with a health component. Applicants should have experience in the collection and analysis of qualitative data and experience of working in low income countries.The post is funded for a period of 18 months from August 2009. Salary is from £30,639 to £35,194 (inclusive of London Weighting). The successful candidate will be placed on the scales according to skills and experience.
